The Amborella Group & SubroSmart Welcomes Gerrit Nagarwalla as Managing Director

The Amborella Group & SubroSmart are pleased to announce that Gerrit Nagarwalla, CPCU, AIC has joined the company as Managing Director.

Gerrit brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience and joins Amborella following 12 years with Canopius, where he progressed through a series of increasingly senior claims leadership roles, most recently serving as Head of Claims – U.S. and Bermuda.

During his tenure at Canopius, Gerrit helped build and lead a sophisticated U.S. claims organization supporting the company’s significant growth in the U.S. market. His responsibilities spanned domestic and London Market claims, open market and delegated business, TPA oversight, complex P&C and specialty claims, and collaboration across underwriting, actuarial, distribution and executive leadership.

As Managing Director of Amborella Group, Gerrit will provide executive leadership across SubroSmart, Amborella Law, and LimeIQ, bringing a carrier executive’s perspective to the the group’s operations, client relationships, strategy and continued expansion.

His appointment comes as Amborella enters its 14th year and represents another significant investment in the leadership and capabilities supporting our next stage of growth.
